House portraits

I've created this blog to post my artwork that I have created over the years for clients. I primarily paint or draw house portraits for folks who would like to commemorate a home. I work in watercolor or ink.

Many of my commissions are gifts upon the sale or purchase of a home, some for realtors, some for children buying their parents an unusual gift for the holidays or anniversaries. I've also painted churches as a wedding gifts, and have done several architectural commissions for commercial property owners.

I've been doing this for about 10 years, but have been creating art all of my life, and studied Art at Mount Holyoke College in the 80's. I also do pet portraits, botanicals, and still life works, some of which I will post here.

If you'd like more information on my artwork, including sizes available and pricing, just email me at michelleryanart at aol.com

Sizes and Pricing

Sizes and Framing Options

My art comes in two sizes: when framed, the outside dimensions are 11x14 (art is 8x10) inches, or 16x20 (art is 11x14) inches.

I will provide framing if you would like, and my prices are reasonable because I use these two standard sizes.

However, you can do the framing of my artwork all by yourself. I would be happy to walk you through the process, from where to purchase mattes and frames, to the best methods for framing my artwork.

2005/2006 Prices - House Portraits

  • Ink - 11x14, original only, $100; framed $150
  • Ink - 16x20, original only, $135; framed $185
  • Watercolor - 11x14, original only, $135; framed $185
  • Watercolor - 16x20, original only, $200; framed $250
